چکیده

Aim of study: To reduce the sample size in an agricultural area 167.35 hectares, cultivated with soybean, to analyze spatial dependence soil penetration resistance (SPR) outliers. Area Cascavel, Brazil Material and methods: The reduction was made by univariate effective ( ) methodology, assuming that t-Student model represents probability distribution SPR. Main results: radius intensity have inverse relationship estimated value . For depths SPR dependence, highest reduced 40%. From new size, sampling redesign performed. accuracy indexes showed differences between thematic maps original designs. However, lowest values standard error parameters structure evidenced design appropriate. Besides, models semivariance function were efficiently estimated, which allowed identifying existence all depth SPR.Research highlights: 40%, allowing for lesser financial investments data collection laboratory analysis samples next mappings area. able influence outliers structure.

Using Soil Apparent Electrical Conductivity to Optimize Sampling of Soil Penetration Resistance and to Improve the Estimations of Spatial Patterns of Soil Compaction

This study presents a combined application of an EM38DD for assessing soil apparent electrical conductivity (ECa) and a dual-sensor vertical penetrometer Veris-3000 for measuring soil electrical conductivity (ECveris) and soil resistance to penetration (PR). The measurements were made at a 6 ha field cropped with forage maize under no-tillage after sowing and located in Northwestern Spain. The ...

Spatial Variability of Penetration Resistance on Pseudogley

Usually large numbers of measurements are required to describe spatial variability of soil resistance but GIS technology with interpolations methods make it possible to estimate data from unsampled locations. In this paper cone index (CI) measurements were made in two occasions in 2.88 ha fi eld in central Croatia to present soil condition. A commonly used tillage operation consists of ploughin...

Adaptive spatial sampling of contaminated soil.

Suppose that a residential neighborhood may have been contaminated by a nearby abandoned hazardous waste site. The suspected contamination consists of elevated soil concentrations of chemicals that are also found in the absence of site-related contamination. How should a risk manager decide which residential properties to sample and which ones to clean? This paper introduces an adaptive spatial...

Soil Sampling Methods for Phosphorus – Spatial Concerns

Purpose of This Publication Knowledge of soil phosphorus (P) levels is an essential component of nutrient management planning for crop production and for tools that assess the risk of P loss from agricultural fields. Historically, soil P testing has been used to estimate P availability for crops and is now being used directly or as a component of P indices to assess the risk of P loss from fiel...

Applying Spatial Geostatistical Analysis Models for Evaluating Variability of Soil Properties in Eastern Shiraz, Iran

ABSTRACT- The information on the spatial properties of soil is vital to improve soil management and to increase the crop productivity. Geostatistical analysis technique is one of the most important methods for determining the spatial properties of soil. The aim of this study was to investigate spatial variability of soil chemical and physical attributes for field management in eastern Shiraz, I...
